Business structure & affiliations Based in Pleasanton (California), Stoneridge Water Polo is a 501c3 non-profit organization recognized by the IRS and State of California. Stoneridge Water Polo is operated in accordance with the standards and under the rules prescribed by La Federation Internationale de Natation (FINA) and United States Water Polo (USWP). Stoenridge is USWP club #1674 as part of the Pacific Zone #6 Mission statement To expose and promote the sport of water polo to athletes of all ages through skills training and team play for the purpose of benefiting the athlete. Program goals To develop athlete fundamentals and increase athlete game experience. To provide players the opportunity to seek the level of competition they desire. Program objectives To instill in its young athletes a love of the sport, a dedication to hard work, team effort, camaraderie, and sportsmanship. To guide athletes in creating an athletic road map. Program structure SWP is offered on a seasonal basis. Each season is uniquely developed to address the needs of the participants and may include instructional practices from the fundamentals of the game to strategy and execution, strength and conditioning, scrimmages, and tournament play. Please note not all seasons have tournaments.
